About Us - Why are we doing this?
The Second Chance project came together to communicate some of the inspirational stories about people who have been saved by the heroic act of an organ donor.

Organ donation and transplantation is not a topic that most of us think about every day. Development of this project began in hopes that people will learn more about how organ donation saves lives.

Imagine if someone that you really loved needed an organ, but couldn't get one in time. This happens every day, because not enough of us even consider donation. In fact only about 50% of all the available donors in the United States actually donate organs.

Our goal is to show the stories of people who have received organs and live healthy and fulfilling lives. And to highlight the organ donors, who are the real heroes, and gave the gift of life.
